The promotion of AI modes in Google Doodle is because Tech Company is making an effort to expose more users to the latest AI capabilities amidst pressure from artificial intelligence startups. This includes Openai, which creates ChatGpt. This refers to Claude and Prplexity AI as “AI-powered answer engines.”

AI mode is a Google chatbot-like experience for complex user questions. The company began displaying AI mode in March along with the search results page.
“Search for anything in your mind and get an AI-powered response,” reads the product description when you click from the homepage.
AI Mode is powered by Google's flagship AI model Gemini, which has been deployed to more US users since its launch. Users can ask questions in AI mode using text, audio, or images. According to Google, AI mode makes it easy to find answers to complex questions that previously required multiple searches.
In May, Google tested the AI mode feature just below the Google search bar, replacing the “I'm Feeling Lucky” widget, a place where Google doesn't make any changes.
