The app also does an admirable job of getting answers and providing prominent links to the sites that pull the information. It has the most attractive interface of any engine. Moreover, it’s completely free.
2. AI Chat
The second highest rated app on this list is AI Chat powered by the GPT-3.5 Turbo language model. It’s one of the easiest AI apps on the App Store, but depending on what you’re looking for, it could work to your advantage. The interface is similar to Apple’s Messages app, so you can talk to AI just like you’re at home.
To unlock all of AI Chat’s premium features, you’ll need to pay a $19.99 monthly subscription, while the rest of the apps all offer in-app purchases.
3. Chat with Ask AI
Chat with Ask AI is currently the most popular productivity app on the App Store, surpassing Gmail, Outlook and Google Drive. The app utilizes OpenAI’s GPT-4 language model, but the developer says Ask AI offers an “improved chat experience.” The app has a share button that allows you to easily share the answers provided by Ask AI. You can even share your answers as a video so your friends can see your answers in real time.
To unlock more detailed answers, higher word limits, longer conversations, and no ads, you’ll have to pay $4.99 a week or $39.99 for a lifetime subscription.
4. Genie
Genie is actually one of the oldest iPhone apps on this list, but the developer has updated it repeatedly since it was released in December. One of Genie’s unique features is the ability to upload photos, files, and URLs to supplement your prompts. For example, you can upload a photo of a bird and ask Genie what kind of bird is in that photo.
If you want unlimited questions, increased prompt character limits, and access to GPT-4, you’ll need to pay $5.99/week or $39.99/year.
5. Chat on
ChatOn, from developer AIBY, is a ChatGPT-powered iOS app that recently climbed the charts. One of its benefits is the prompts provided by topic. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, ChatOn can jump right into a specific task, whether it’s completing an email, checking your code, or pretending to be someone else.
Like any other app, you’ll have to pay $6.99 a week or $39.99 a year or more for OCR support, instant response, and unlimited messages.
