5-day workshop to empower ST youth

Visakhapatnam: A five-day workshop on ‘Youth Empowerment through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Fundamentals and Applications’ organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vignan Institute of Women Engineering (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, began on Tuesday.

Aimed at providing basic knowledge to ST youth and empowering them with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), the workshop will be held till the end of this month with the support of iHub-Data, IIIT Hyderabad.

This session will be conducted by experts and industry experts from IIIT Hyderabad, providing insights into theoretical concepts, real-world applications, and future career opportunities in AI and ML.

B. Arundhati, principal of Binyan Institute of Women Engineering, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of equipping students with advanced technical skills to meet the demands of the digital age.

She said such initiatives play an important role in fostering innovation, critical thinking and research-oriented learning in students, thereby preparing them for future challenges in technology-driven industries.

The workshop was held under the supervision of Mr. Luv Lataiah, Chairman, Vignan Group, with patrons L. Sri Krishna Devarayur, MP, Vice Chairman, Vignan Group, and Mr. N. Srikanth, CEO. The program was coordinated by E Laxmi Lydia, Professor and Head of Research and Development, CSE Department.

The workshop saw enthusiastic student participation, successfully improving technical capabilities and inspiring students to explore innovative solutions in the field of AI and ML.
