According to the report, Data Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers can earn around INR 14 crore per year even for fresh graduates, while DevOps Engineers and Data Architects can earn around INR 12 crore per year. By the time the data engineer and machine learning engineer reaches his eighth year in the industry, he can earn up to Rs 40 lakh per year, the company said.
The report notes that India has a talent base of 4 million professionals who know AI, accounting for 16% of the global AI talent base. But he said 80% of Indian engineers do not have the skills to meet employers’ expectations when it comes to hiring AI. And India’s share of global AI investment was just 1.5% in 2022.
