As workers face more and more automation threats, career resource platform researchers are reopening Genius. In a new report released Thursday, researchers found 10 roles that meet the criteria: high wages (at least $49,500 or more), high employment growth (over 10% between 2023 and 2033), and low automation risk (below 50%).
Researchers assessed a variety of occupations using wage data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and projected employment growth rates. We also assessed automation risk using a probability calculator.

All careers that meet the challenges are in the healthcare and applied science industry.
“AI can write codes and crunch numbers, but it cannot comfort patients or call crisis,” says Eva Chan, a genius career expert in resumes. “The safest job today is human work. Today's fastest growing jobs rely on care, judgment and presence.
Median annual salary for these employments ranges from $62,580 to $149,910.

AI industry experts have been alarming about AI being replaced by jobs for months. Jeffrey Hinton, known as the “AI Godfather” for his pioneering AI research, said in a white-collar job, “AI just replaces everyone.” The Nobel Prize winner said in an episode of the podcast, “The CEO's Diary,” that “people and AI assistants” can replace “ten people have done before.”
Meanwhile, humanity CEO Dario Amody said in May that unemployment could rise by 20% in the next five years as AI wipes out half of its entry-level white-collar jobs.
