TL;DR

  • YouTube is rolling out generative AI tools to help creators come up with new ideas for content.
  • This tool gives you ideas about the type of content your audience wants to see, new angles on your content, and talking points.
  • This tool is being released as a test and is only available to a small number of channels.

Like other Google products, YouTube is rolling out new AI features to help enhance the platform. Many of these features have been experimental so far, and the latest tests released today are intended to help creators come up with new ideas for their content.

On YouTube's support page, the company announced that it is testing a generative AI content inspiration tool for creators. As the name suggests, this tool is designed to help YouTube creators brainstorm ideas for what to share next on their channels. Google also says the tool will help creators better understand their audience and create videos faster.

To achieve this, this tool will help you generate three ideas. According to the company, these include:

  • The type of content/topics your audience wants to see more of
  • You can look at creative content you haven't created before from a fresh perspective and consider creating it.
  • Overview/Key Points to Invigorate Your Creative Process

If you're a creator and want to try out this tool for yourself, it looks like you'll just have to hope you're one of the lucky few chosen to experiment. The tech giant says the test will only be rolled out to a small number of channels that publish videos in English. However, Google said it would provide updates on its plans to expand testing, leaving the door open for expansion.

Recently, YouTube conducted another AI test that introduced an “Ask a Question” button to the UI. This feature allows users to ask questions and get answers about the videos they are watching. However, the “Ask a Question” button will only be available until his May 1st.
