YouTube AI tools want to help creators generate new video ideas

AI Video & Visuals

Every technology company today is looking for ways to bring AI into every app and service they run. Google is near the top of that list, and on Friday the company introduced a new AI tool aimed at helping YouTube creators looking for inspiration.

as discovered by android police, YouTube updated its list of testing features and experiments on May 3, adding “GenAI content inspiration tools on Studio desktop.” The tools being tested are said to “bring content inspiration to the surface” to help content creators on the platform come up with new ideas. If you're having trouble deciding what to make a video about next, YouTube's artificial intelligence may be able to point you in the right direction.

YouTube tests and experiments are typically available only for a limited time and to a limited group of people, so you may not have access to AI tools.

However, you can check it by visiting YouTube.com on your desktop and going to the following link: YouTube studio > analysis > the study. If you're participating in the experiment, you'll see a selection of video ideas that you can use to start brainstorming.

According to YouTube, this new AI tool can provide ideas for:

  • The type of content/topics your audience wants to see more of
  • You can look at creative content you haven't created before from a fresh perspective and consider creating it.
  • Overview and points to revitalize the creative process

For now, only channels that publish videos in English are being tested, but if successful, it will be rolled out to a wider audience. In the meantime, content creators should continue to come up with ideas themselves rather than relying on YouTube's AI.
