Hybrid meetings are always looking for a more immersive experience, allowing for maximum participant engagement that mimics in-person meetings as much as possible.
With a vision to bring feature-rich, high-quality video conferencing to as many conference rooms as possible, Yealink recently launched the S40 as part of its MVC series, an AI-driven small and medium-sized conference room solution for Microsoft. has been released. team room.
“We believe that rooms of all shapes and sizes should have an advanced video conferencing experience.” Fuhan Lee, Yealink Product Marketing Lead.
“With the addition of S40 to our MVC portfolio, our latest generation of AI capabilities are now available in conference rooms of all sizes, from huddle rooms to Pro-AV rooms,” he said. I added.
S40: Advanced AI features for small and medium-sized rooms
Yealink's S40 solution offers a rich combination of AI-powered video conferencing capabilities and powerful hardware to meet all the needs of small and medium-sized meeting rooms.
With a binocular camera system, AI-enhanced audio, wireless sharing, and BYOD capabilities, the goal is to maximize the potential of hybrid meetings and increase efficiency, engagement, and meeting fairness.
“The most special thing about this product is the two 48 million pixel lenses that combine two telephoto lens images into one 120° wide-angle field of view,” says Lee.
“This allows for excellent image quality in large medium-sized conference rooms, even when the speaker is 20 feet away from the camera.”
Another key feature of the S40 is its on-device IntelliFocus feature. This allows for smooth screen transitions, allowing you to see a close-up of the last four active conference participants along with the room view.
“Compared to traditional AI features such as auto-framing and speaker tracking, IntelliFocus targets the conversation rather than the individual speaker speaking in the moment,” explains Lee.
In the audio department, the S40 boasts two built-in stereo speakers, an eight-MEMS microphone array, a six-meter audio pickup range, and AI-enhanced noise cancellation.
Other features include a video fence that allows users to set predefined areas for microphone and camera pickup, shared virtual backgrounds, and support for a 100% wireless conferencing experience with Microsoft Copilot and WPP30 presentation pods.
And more to come.
“The next step is to offer a table camera as a companion device to the S40, with a release date expected to be in the fourth quarter of this year,” said Lee.
About MVC series
With the addition of the S40 for small to medium-sized rooms, the MVC series now spans the entire spectrum, including the S60 for huddle rooms and small signature rooms, and the S90 for large and ProAV spaces.
MVC devices not only fit any room size, but also offer premium AI-driven features, a completely wireless conferencing experience, and simple deployment.
“Our vision for advanced video conferencing consists of three stages,” said Fuhan.
The first phase of Yealink is “efficient”, with features such as auto-framing and speaker tracking. The second is “immersive” with multi-focus, multi-stream, spatial audio, and advanced noise cancellation. The third one is “intelligent” and this is where we are now.
“The 'intelligent' stage is about AI-driven features like Copilot, people recognition, and intelligent voice recognition. And it's constantly evolving to incorporate new features.”
Trade-in offer for Yealink MVC Series devices
Following Microsoft's announcement that Windows 10 will end maintenance in 2025, Yealink recognizes that now is the perfect time for businesses to upgrade their video conferencing setups and has launched a trade-in program for older devices.
“As many businesses upgrade their Windows-based devices to avoid security risks, we want to help ease this transition,” Fuhan explains.
However, it's important to note that this campaign is for everyone who wants to upgrade, Windows or not.
“All they have to do is enter the details of their existing video conferencing device (whether made by us or another vendor) and we'll save up to 35% on new devices in the MVC range. ”
