The following document is an example of how local governments in China propose to use AI in their work. This document from Xiamen in southeastern China lists more than 100 potential AI use cases for city governments and its sub-division governments, and includes contact information for each use case, perhaps making it easier for AI companies to create sales pitches to meet these requirements. Most use cases involve using large AI models (which rarely recommend Deepseek). This finds patterns and anomalies in bulk data primarily for harmless purposes, such as errors, document dropouts and assisting teachers in scoring. However, some use cases, primarily at the district government level, aim to use AI technology for surveillance or predictive policing in China.

To thoroughly implement a national strategy that promotes the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and the real economy, we are actively investigating and nurturing AI application scenarios, promoting opportunities for a total of 110 AI application scenarios from 16 urban sectors and relying on spreading from 18 district-level sectors.
The list released here focuses on the field of government issues + AI, providing detailed information on each scenario, including requirements units, core requirements, expected goals, contact information, and more, providing clear business development directions and opportunities for collaboration for AI companies, research institutions, investment institutions and other relevant parties.
Through this list, the goal is to build a bridge linking supply and demand, promote accurate matching of AI technology with real business scenarios, accelerate the transformation of innovation outcomes into practical applications, and foster new economic growth points. We sincerely invite all working sectors and businesses to actively participate in the construction and application of AI scenarios in government sectors, leveraging their own strengths and collaborate to create new landscapes for AI industry development.
