WTW has restructured its EMEA insurance consulting and technology business and created specialized property and casualty and life insurance divisions to accelerate the adoption of AI and meet growing customer demand for technology-driven solutions.
The changes will create separate EMEA P&C and EMEA Life businesses to deepen expertise, improve delivery consistency and expand innovation across the region.
As part of the reorganization, Tim Rourke will be appointed EMEA P&C leader and Michael Klüttgens will become EMEA Life leader.
The company said this new structure reflects both the scale of demand for integrated insurance and technology solutions and the need to more fully embed AI across the value chain.
Frank Shepards (pictured), global leader of insurance consulting and technology at WTW, said the changes were aimed at positioning the business for its next stage of growth.
He said: “Our enhanced property and casualty and life insurance leadership reflects the scale of demand for integrated, technology-enabled insurance solutions across EMEA.”
“Tim and Michael bring exceptional client insight, deep industry expertise and proven leadership,” he continued.
“These will work together to help drive our next stage of growth as we focus on our customers’ unique needs and accelerate AI adoption across the insurance value chain,” he added.
Mr Rourke brings over 25 years’ experience to the role, most recently as head of general insurance pricing, products, claims and underwriting in the UK.
He will focus on driving regional growth, increasing collaboration between EMEA offices, and connecting WTW’s AI and innovation capabilities to the evolving needs of clients.
Mr. Klutgens, who previously served as division leader for Northern and Central Europe, will be responsible for strengthening the company’s life consulting offering with a focus on analytics, AI enablement and end-to-end technology solutions.
With the change in leadership, Tammy Richardson will move into a broader role focused on executing WTW’s global AI transformation strategy.
Shepards said Richardson played a key role in building the local business.
