Would you like to let AI make a video of you living your perfect life?

AI Video & Visuals

This is a tiktok trend that has been going on for a while. People who use ChatGpt and other AI tools to “enhance” their dream lives.

So far, I have avoided it, but when one of the editors noticed it was becoming popular again, I had to at least consider it: am I the type of person who manifests itself? And use AI to show me what my ideal life looks like?

My colleague, Anna Altocheck, noticed the trend in September. “Users share ways that AI can help reinforce traditional manifestation practices, including visualization, vision boards, positive affirmations, mantras, and rewiring negative beliefs,” she reported at the time.

ChatGpt shows your dream life

I decided to research for myself, but I found that people essentially encourage AI to create stories about their dream life based on their goals.

Let's say your goal was rich, had perfect skin, lived in an Italian villa that hooked a hanky husband and two children, planted tomatoes in the garden. Enter those goals – Manifesto They, if they do – and it will liven up the story for you.

It can then be used to create an action plan to actually reach it.

I tried this myself. I asked Chatgput to tell me about a day in my life at that Italian villa. I cannot deny that it provided a fascinating story:

The sun gently slids over Tuscan hills, throws gold across the rolling vineyards, awakened Villa Rosabella, a sun-washed real estate sandwiched between roads lining with olive trees and cypress. The seats were linen, cool and crisp, and the smell of flowering jasmine wafted through an open French door. You didn't wrinkle on your face, but your skin was blatant and perfectly stretched, like you just came out of the Capri spa (Because you had – last weekend).

But things became a little unstable when I asked them to take steps to achieve this dream life. There were decent practical advice on how to achieve perfect skin (“getting consultation with a top dermatologist”), but things got a bit more complicated when it comes to the “enriching” part of your dream. It suggested that “increase revenue to annual revenue of over $500,000.”

To be fair, if I had given it a little more specific goal, it might have been better planned. But I need to admit my bias here: I'm not really Inside Manifestation ideas. I'm happy with people who find this useful, but I'm not the only one.

A while ago I dmated some of the people I saw on social media talking about this life hack. Some of them told me they truly believed in the power of manifestation – and had clear goals of life in mind. (I realized these women were younger than me, I just started with their adult life. On the other hand, my only goal in life is to get over this.)

It will be visible in the video

The manifestation of AI has a new twist: video. The New York Times reported last week that people are using a tool called Runway, Google's VEO 3, or Freepik to enter real images used to describe real life (fake) lives. For example, I was able to upload my own photo and then have my video be created around a Tuscan tomato glove.

I wanted to try it out so I tried using Freepik. Freepik is one of the women interviewed by the Times used. But there was a catch: Freepik required a paid account to create the video. If you're throwing everything away with AI tools, there's no way to expand your income to $500,000.

Tomato plants

My one sad cherry tomato plant. I probably should have made more fertilizer manifestation.

Personally, I don't want to watch my own videos in my dream life.

I don't think it would make me feel bad in itself – or I'm jealous of the self of my dreams. And I'm not afraid that my AI version will come to life, kill and replace me. I simply don't want to be involved in such content. That doesn't appeal to me all.

Perhaps I lack the growth mindset – a desire to truly improve my life. Perhaps I should be more open to AI manifesto! But I am happy to use my imagination.
