Enterprise Automation Startup Workato Inc. is launching a new fleet of artificial intelligence agents. It says it is ready to automate work across multiple business functions, from sales and marketing to information technology, providing measurable results.
Announced today at Workato's annual user conference, Wow: World of Workato's Las Vegas, the new “Neinies” was built using Workato One, the company's flagship platform for agent AI development. They are designed to coordinate and automate tasks between systems and data, making intelligent decisions, performing tasks on behalf of humans and unsupervised.
Chief Executive Vijay Tella said his company used the agency to automate more than 100 internal workflows. Now, the goal is to bring the same level of automation to all companies without the complexity associated with traditional capillots.
“The Enterprise is stuck in pilot mode and is waiting for the cop or AI to mature,” he explained. “The days are over. These technologies are built to deliver results. They act as true colleagues, run on a large scale across the business, driving today's measurable impact.”
Each Workato Nienies is designed to perform certain business roles, with key performance indicators built into them, allowing them to act as “intelligent colleagues” rather than assistants, the company explained.
For example, sales capabilities are built to streamline tasks such as quoting and optimizing revenue operations by helping human salespeople close deals faster, while supporting customers are designed to help them solve tickets faster and hand over more complex issues to human support teams while plaguing customers and staff. There is also Marketing Nesia, which can automate service requests, accelerate incident resolution to reduce operational friction, automate personalized outreach, generate sales content, and predict predictive performance.
Other Nays are involved in features such as improving the efficiency of the entire organization, such as customer experience, HR management, recruitment, security, and automating tasks in these areas.
NEIS is deployed through Workato Go, the company's intelligent control center for coordinating the fleet of AI agents. Team leaders can monitor them using a new command center called the “action board.” This serves as a single place to view each Genie, track key metrics, identify problems, and gain valuable insight into your work.
According to Workato, they have created a new framework for designing and deploying AI Nasie. This is called the Agent Readiness Framework, which is made available to customers along with standard leeks, allowing you to develop your own development with built-in governance.
With the agent preparation framework, businesses can integrate deeply with all of their essential applications, databases and workflows to speed up time to value. It provides embedded orchestration and human control within the loop to enable safe and secure deployment and provide tools for creating governance policies, ensuring users perform tasks in a reliable way.
Workato One has been improved
NEIS and its framework debuted along with a major update to the Workato One platform, which is used to design custom AI agents that leverage “connected enterprise data fabrics” to benefit from deep organizational knowledge.
New additions include a new Agent Studio development environment for building agents with organized steps and defined goals, as well as reusable building blocks for common tasks such as summarization, content generation, input classification, application programming interface invocation, data conversion, and more.
Other new components include Agent Knowledge Graphs that help you connect Workato's agents to the enterprise-wide data fabric, and Agent Acumen, a domain-aware knowledge model designed to give agents functional flow in the context and terminology of the enterprise.
Workato also gains support for open source model context protocols, allowing teams to expose AI agents as APIs or services, and work with each other to perform more sophisticated tasks.
The company said the update means Workato One is the first platform to fully integrate agent AI development with comprehensive orchestration capabilities across the entire enterprise data fabric, which ultimately enables us to realize our commitment to autonomous and intelligent business automation. The company is responsible for the “operational core” role of all agent AI systems, and says it sees Workato as a way to lead companies into a new era of AI-powered business productivity.
