New Delhi: Technology giant Wipro on Wednesday announced the launch of Wipro ai360, a comprehensive AI-first innovation ecosystem, along with committing to invest $1 billion in advancing AI capabilities over the next three years.
The investment will focus on expanding AI, data and analytics solutions, developing new R&D and platforms, and enhancing the “FullStride Cloud” and consulting capabilities.
Wipro ai360 builds on the company’s 10-year investment in artificial intelligence (AI) with the goal of integrating AI into every platform, every tool and every solution used internally and delivered to customers. the company said in a statement.
“We expect to see fundamental changes in every industry in the coming years, especially with the emergence of generative AI. New business models, new ways of working, and new challenges. This is why we put operations at the heart of all our AI work,” said Thierry Delaporte, CEO and MD, Wipro Limited.
At Wipro ai360, 30,000 Wipro experts in data analytics and AI will bring together Wipro’s technology and advisory ecosystem from four global business units.
The company also said it will accelerate investment in cutting-edge startups through Wipro Ventures.
In addition, the company launched the GenAI Seed Accelerator program to provide select GenAI-focused startups with the training they need to be enterprise-ready.
To achieve these goals, the company plans to train all 250,000 employees on AI fundamentals and how to use AI responsibly over the next 12 months.
Wipro said it will develop a curriculum that plans a full AI engagement for different roles.
