Will Smith decided to turn the moment of criticism into comedy gold. In early August, the 56-year-old actor and rapper were accused of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the video to show a crowd of fans cheering for him on a summer tour. After receiving an immeasurable backlash, he enjoys the entire incident with a resourceful video.
Taken to his Instagram, Will Smith shared the clip. There, his background dancers were seen rapping on stage, standing side by side. Initially he was seen hyping the stadium crowd, and up until that moment everything was fine. However, things have made a hilarious turn when the camera pans, revealing that the cartoonish cat bouncing off, waving in unison.
Fans love Will Smith's playful jibe for criticism of using AI
His fans loved his playful jabs against those who accused him of using AI in his previous videos. In the captioned post, “The crowd was Poppintonite!!” one of his fans wrote, “I love the way I handle these hatred lmao.” Another added, “Yeah, you have to make me a kitten.” Meanwhile, drummer and record producer Questlove said, “It scared me.” Radio DJ and TV host Melvin Odoom shares, “People who don't like me are going to say this is AI.”
Why was Smith criticized?
This light-hearted video comes weeks after Will Smith was criticized for using AI to show the crowd hyped him. On August 12th, he posted a clip of him watching him play his song. You can go off the stage and walk along the barricades side by side to make it while meeting fans. “My favorite part of the tour is meeting nearby. Thank you for meeting me too,” she captioned.
However, viewers soon noticed glitches such as faces that seemed to be blurry or warped, fans who had legs instead of hands, six fingers and twisted signs, and even actress Heather Ashley Boyer, who claimed that her face and body were being used without her consent. She wrote:

Despite the chatter, the actors and rappers looked like others. He is busy on his tour to support his new album, based on a true story, his first story in 20 years. The album was released in March this year. He will begin his British leg of the tour at the Scarborough Open Air Theater on August 24th and will perform in Paris on September 2nd.
