WhatsApp's new AI tools for business, including Meta Verified

AI For Business

From answering customer questions to discussing products and finalizing purchases, messaging helps businesses run their businesses successfully. Today, at our annual business messaging event, Conversations, we shared our latest product updates to help people and businesses get more out of WhatsApp.

AI tools to help businesses better support their customers

AI tools help businesses on WhatsApp better support their customers and discover new products they might be interested in. We're training AI to respond to the most common questions businesses receive on WhatsApp, helping customers find the answers they're looking for, quickly.

They are also integrating AI to help businesses create ads on Facebook and Instagram to remind customers about items they left in their cart or offer discounts on products they were hesitant to buy.

Meta Verified comes to WhatsApp

We're also starting to roll out Meta Verified to the WhatsApp Business app in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. When you see the Meta Verified badge, it means your business has registered with Meta. Businesses that use Meta Verified get enhanced account support (including impersonation protection) and can enable their employees to use WhatsApp on multiple devices.

The same Meta Verified badge will also be displayed on these businesses’ WhatsApp channels and custom WhatsApp pages.

Calling on larger companies

Sometimes you just need to speak to someone in person. We're introducing the ability to call big businesses with just one tap on WhatsApp. Whether you have a complicated travel request or want to discuss opening a new account with your bank, a quick call may be the best way to get help. We've just started testing this feature, but we plan to expand to more businesses in the coming months.
