Gödel, Escher, Bach, by computer science researcher Douglas Hofstadter. This book, supposedly published in his 1979, is about how consciousness emerges from darkness, how similar thought patterns arise from his three geniuses in different fields. The questions the book asks, such as whether or not, are new and meaningful.
