US President Donald Trump posted a video on Saturday that appears to have been artificially created, showing that he is promoting “Medbeds,” which is believed to be the cure for all.
The clip is designed to look like a fox news segment hosted by Trump's stepdaughter, Lara Trump. However, the segment was not aired on the network, and the video was deleted immediately after it was posted.
What the video claimed
In the AI-generated clip, Trump promised that all Americans would receive a “Med Bed Card” to access a new, highly skilled hospital.
The false video, he quoted, said, “These facilities are safe and modern, and are designed to bring all citizens back to full health and strength. This is the beginning of a new era of health care in America.”
The origins of the Medbed plot
The idea of ”Medbed” is rooted in the conspiracy theory that has been circulating online Qanon groups for many years. Followers claim that the US government secretly developed miracle healing technology, which is said to come often from reverse engineering alien spacecraft after World War II, according to a CNN report.
According to theory, this technology is hidden from the public and reserved for its powerful elites.
Canon and Trump's connection
Since the Canon movement began in 2017, many of its followers have claimed that Trump will ultimately reveal and access this secret technology.
AI videos have exploited these long-standing beliefs despite the lack of scientific or medical evidence to support them.
Outside the circle of conspiracy, so-called “medbed” products are sold in the New Age and holistic wellness markets. These include “healing mats” or bed toppers that claim to use magnets or infrared techniques to cure illnesses.
Experts warn that such products can make unproven promises and mislead vulnerable people.
