The AI Discovery webinar series aims to demystify AI and help organizations access it at every stage of their digital journey. The world of AI can seem daunting, but this series breaks down complex concepts, provides practical examples, and highlights real-world tools that Irish small and medium-sized businesses can use to increase productivity, streamline operations, and improve customer experience. This initiative, which will run from March to May, will provide business leaders with clear guidance on the fundamentals of AI.
The series is open to all Enterprise Ireland and Skillnet Ireland clients and the webinars will also be published on the Enterprise Ireland website after each session. This will enable all SMEs, regardless of size, sector or digital maturity, to benefit from expert insights and learn how AI is being deployed in today’s real Irish business environment.
The first webinar, “Demystifying AI for Small Business Leaders,” will be held on March 12th. In this introductory session, we’ll discuss what AI actually is, why it’s important, and how small businesses can start identifying opportunities to use it in practice. The focus is on building foundational knowledge and dispelling common misconceptions that often prevent companies from considering AI solutions.
The second session on April 15, “Data, Ethics, and Governance,” will address the critical role of data in AI and explore issues such as privacy, security, and the responsible use of emerging technologies. As AI adoption increases, understanding how to properly and ethically manage data has become essential for businesses of all sizes.
The third webinar, Customer Stories, will take place on 7 May and will feature Ireland’s Business AI Champions, who will share how they are already leveraging AI to improve efficiency, productivity and embed innovation into their daily processes. These first-hand experiences provide inspiration and concrete lessons for small and medium-sized businesses considering how to begin or accelerate their digital transition.
The series concludes with “Getting Started” on May 21st. This is an action-oriented webinar that focuses on the next steps small business leaders can take, from initial planning and capacity building to implementing practical AI solutions.
Throughout the webinar series, participants will also learn about the digital training opportunities, financial support and advice services available from Enterprise Ireland and Skillnet Support. Across Ireland, Irish SMEs are already steadily digitizing and AI adoption continues to gain momentum. According to the Central Statistics Office, more than 20% of Irish businesses will use AI in 2025, up from 15% in 2024. This is a strong indicator of increased confidence and ability.
The AI Discovery Webinar Series is Enterprise Ireland and Skillnet Ireland’s latest initiative to continue this momentum and help small and medium-sized enterprises become more productive and globally competitive.
