A lot of people are worried that AI will take over their jobs. I know what you're saying and I understand it. But AI also opens the door to new jobs. The top positions require esoteric skills like how to program with OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, but there are jobs available for people who aren't computer scientists. Initially, prompt engineering (clever ways to politely ask an AI chatbot for the best answer) seemed like a way for non-experts to get AI jobs. But it turns out that large language models (LLMs) make it easy to create and optimize your own prompts.

But there are plenty of other high-paying AI-related jobs out there. In fact, according to AWS, employers are willing to pay up to 47% more for AI skills. The highest salaries go to IT professionals, but AWS research also shows that sales and marketing professionals can command 43% more, and finance professionals can command up to 42% more. And that's no exaggeration.
To help employees build and demonstrate their AI expertise, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a new AI training portfolio to build in-demand AI skills and two new certifications to demonstrate knowledge, including:
AWS Certified AI Practitioner: This foundation-level certification is designed for non-technical employees. It helps you demonstrate familiarity with AI, machine learning (ML), and generative AI concepts and tools. This certification is perfect for professionals in marketing, sales, project and product management, HR, finance, and other non-IT roles who want to identify AI opportunities and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate: This certification is for technical professionals. It is designed to demonstrate that you have the skills required to build, deploy, and maintain AI and ML solutions. It covers key aspects such as optimizing model performance, managing compute resources, updating model versions, and securing AI solutions. This certification is crucial for IT professionals who leverage AI to achieve business goals.
To help prepare for these certifications, AWS has launched 11 new training courses on its digital learning center, AWS Skill Builder. Individual subscriptions to the site cost $29 per month or $449 per year.
