This week we covered the post-Google instability that hit some people hard over the weekend and throughout this week. The latest zero-click research shows that Google Search is sending less and less traffic to the open web. Apple announced all-new Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. Bing now offers searchers a way to disable AI responses when searching. Apple has also updated Applebot’s documentation to include AI, crawl delay, and more. Google has created a new help document for trusted advice from third-party SEO tools and services. Google has also updated its SEO adoption documentation. Google Search was not affected by Wednesday’s Gemini outage. Google has launched Search Profile Insights and Analytics. Google Search Console may release a new report or tool named Platform Properties Tooltips. You’ll soon be able to connect your Google Business Profile to Gemini. Google Shopping is testing direct links to merchant sites. Schema.org added usage statistics to schema types. Google Ads is testing images within homepage links and sitelinks. Google is also testing underlined sitelinks with blue dots. Not to be outdone, Google is also testing dotted, underlined and shaded URLs in snippets of organic search results. Google Ads also has new campaign guidance that includes test power scores. Google Local Services Ads now supports residential listings.
