Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani unveils AI trading app developed in collaboration with Elon Musk's team.

Newschecker first ran a keyword search for “Mukesh Ambani Elon Musk trading app” but did not find any credible news reports on such venture.

It was noticed that Ambani's lip movements did not perfectly match his words, raising suspicions that they may have been digitally altered.

We then ran a reverse image search of the video's keyframes and found multiple news reports, seen here , here and here , sharing similar videos and stating that Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani will be speaking at the 50th Golden Jubilee Indian Gem and Jewellery Awards on March 30, 2024. At no point in his speech did Ambani promote or launch an AI trading platform.

NewsChecker then ran the video through AI content detection tool TrueMedia, which determined there was “significant evidence of manipulation.”

We also ran the video through Deepware, a community-driven, open-source deepfake detection tool, which returned a “suspicious” result, confirming that the video was manipulated by AI.

NewsChecker then ran the link attached to the viral Facebook post through Scam Detector, a leading resource for online fraud prevention, which rated the website as “Suspicious. Slightly questionable. Controversial.”

“Our algorithms detected potentially high-risk activity related to phishing, spam, and other factors noted in the 'Suspicious. Slightly Doubtful. Controversial' tags above. In short, we recommend you exercise caution when using this website,” the review read, confirming that the virus link was suspicious.

Earlier, NewsChecker had exposed a similar deepfake video of Ambani recommending a stock market forum and directing users to a malicious website.
