Lyra has raised $6 million to expand its AI-Native video conferencing platform.
The San Francisco and New York-based startups allow customers to turn sales calls into real-time whiteboards and keep all conversations about their projects in one place.
The product was born when the founder, a 23-year-old marketing consultant, was born. He said he realized that the strategy to the market was repetitive and manual. He thought they could optimize with AI.
“We basically made a big bet that everyone is wrong. All AI Note Takers are wrong,” said Coteune Marland, co-founder and CEO of Lyra. “Instead, you'll need to actually rebuild the conference platform itself, because you can control the entire screen.”
When a meeting is scheduled in a virtual calendar, a link to the Lyra meeting is created, just like on existing meeting platforms. The team then calls out so participants can cooperate with screen sharing. Lila's AI generates notes that can be shared after a meeting.
The startup, now valued at $40 million, was part of Y Combinator's Spring 2025 batch.
Since its launch in November, the company's revenues have risen from $20,000 to $700,000 in six weeks. Marland said Lyra is currently playing more than 200 hours of calls a week, competing with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft teams.
The $6 million seed round was led by 468 Capital, with participation from executives from Rebel Fund, Y Combinator and companies such as Ramp, Gusto and Zapier. The round is Lyra's second, following the pre-seeded round, with contributions from three angel investors in November.
Lyra products are priced per minute. The package starts at $6,000 and costs around 200,000 minutes for users. Pricing is customized after this amount, but will be cheaper for more.
With cash injection, Maland wants to invest in the startup infrastructure.
“It's mission-critical software, which means people don't pull it out of the business,” he said. “So it always has to work 100%.”
Marland said the company hopes to expand its team to market by hiring engineers, product designers and growth directors. The company has a total of five employees, including two co-founders.
