- Verizon to build high-capacity fiber routes connecting AWS data centers
new york – Verizon Business today announced a new Verizon AI Connect agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide resilient, high-capacity, low-latency network infrastructure essential to the next wave of artificial intelligence (AI) innovation. As part of the agreement, Verizon will build new long-haul, high-capacity fiber routes to connect AWS data center locations. This enables AWS to continue to deliver and scale secure, reliable, and high-performance cloud services for customers who build and deploy advanced AI applications at scale.
These new fiber segments demonstrate Verizon’s significant efforts in building a network that enables the AI ecosystem to intelligently deliver exponential data growth through generative AI.
