Veeam® software, The Data and AI Trust Company announced the appointment of Rashmi Garde as Chief Legal Officer (CLO). Mr. Garde will lead Veeam’s global legal and compliance functions, providing a foundation of trust as the company scales its pace of operations and governance priorities in an AI-first world.

Her accomplishments include building a 75-person global legal organization at VMware through a $1 billion IPO and leading Sophos through high-stakes private equity transactions and cybersecurity integration.

Garde holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a juris doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. From engineer to lawyer, her career trajectory has seen her build and lead legal organizations for high-growth technology leaders such as VMware, Marin Software, Bloomreach, Centrify, and Sophos. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
