VCI Global Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Chan Wai Mun as Chief of AI & Data Officer. This strategic employment strengthens our commitment to moving forward with the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven innovation across corporate and government platforms.
Dr. Chang brings a comprehensive background in big data analytics and artificial intelligence to this role. Previously, he was in key data science roles at major global companies, including Intel and GFK (part of Nielseniq, one of the world's largest consumer intelligence companies), and was involved in the development and deployment of applied AI solutions. His deep technical expertise includes building enterprise-grade AI systems in Microsoft Azure, gaining the skills to lead the deployment of complex cloud-native AI.
With a PhD in Engineering and supported by over seven years of practical experience across the manufacturing, operations and retail sectors, Dr. Chang specializes in developing and deploying solutions in business analytics, machine learning, and large-scale language models (LLMS). His research focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, enable process automation, and support strategic decision-making.
