UTAS hosts training on AI in accounting and auditing

MUSCAT: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), represented by the Training and Qualifications Division of the Human Resources Department, organized a training program titled “Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Financial Auditing” at City Seasons Hotel with the participation of staff from the Finance Department and the Internal Audit Department.

The program aims to introduce participants to the latest AI applications in accounting and financial auditing and highlight the role of AI in improving financial processes, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting digital transformation within the workplace.

This training covers important topics such as AI fundamentals, digital transformation in financial operations, AI applications in accounting and auditing, and the future of AI in finance. We also explore practical applications that support financial automation, data analysis, and more effective decision-making.

Jassim bin Mohammed Al Qaidi, Senior Training Officer at the University’s Training and Qualifications Department, said the program reflects UTAS’s commitment to developing human capital and providing employees with the knowledge and skills needed to take advantage of emerging technologies. He added that this initiative is in line with global trends in AI adoption and supports the goals of Oman Vision 2040 by fostering innovation and institutional excellence.
