Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) plans to start postgraduate training in September 2024 in the key area of applications of artificial intelligence (AI) to business and finance.
The aim of the training is to introduce in a practical way the potential applications of artificial intelligence in business and finance. Villa Gazdasag To quote a university statement, this will not only be based on specific computer science and data analytics knowledge but will also foster a proactive and problem-solving attitude in students in a holistic way.
This course provides technology-minded candidates with no specific IT or engineering qualifications with a deep understanding of the latest AI solutions.
In addition to a theoretical introduction, students will learn about real-world applications and challenges of AI through real-life case studies and successful practical projects. Learning will be supported by educational materials from US institutions ranked among the top universities in the world, thanks to METU's partnership with Arizona State University (ASU).
ASU is the first university in the world to sign an educational partnership agreement with Open AI, the developer of ChatGPT.

The training gives students an opportunity to experience the process of creating AI-based solutions and facilitating market-leading large-scale language models, while also providing insight into the broad range of applications of AI, its challenges, risks, threats, and ethical, legal and regulatory issues.
The launch of this new training responds to the dynamically changing needs of the labour market for AI professionals in the finance and business sectors.”

There is a growing demand for professionals with practical knowledge of technology trends and opportunities. Digital transformation has been impacting various industries for many years, and the artificial intelligence revolution has increased the need for effective digital transformation, he noted. “The training aims to help students develop a creative and proactive approach that is relevant to all sectors,” Faiqis added.
The new postgraduate training, “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Business and Finance”, will start in September 2024.
