Universities are under pressure to address increasing student inquiries while providing more personalized engagement. UniQuest’s new artificial intelligence platform aims to help educational institutions do both.

The London-based student engagement provider, part of Keystone Education Group, has announced a next-generation AI-driven platform designed to transform the way universities interact with prospective students through recruitment.

The new UQ platform brings together AI-powered communication tools, predictive analytics and human advising support within one system, enabling universities to manage student engagement from initial inquiry to admission.

AI and human advisors work together

UniQuest says that rather than simply adding AI to existing recruitment systems, the platform is built as an integrated environment that covers the entire student engagement lifecycle.

Connect communications across multiple channels, including email, WhatsApp, phone, web chat, and case management to create a unified record of each student interaction. This allows advisors to see a complete timeline of a candidate’s path and help them respond more effectively.

Routine inquiries can be handled through AI-supported response tools that leverage a continuously learning knowledge base built from millions of student interactions. More complex or sensitive conversations will continue to be led by a human advisor.

According to Rachel Fletcher, CEO of UniQuest and Keystone Enrollment Services, the goal is not to replace human expertise, but to make it more effective.

“AI allows us to remove operational friction that slows down recruitment teams,” says Fletcher. “This means our experts can focus on conversations where empathy, judgment, and experience truly impact students’ decisions.”

Turn data into recruiting insights

The platform also analyzes more than 150 million data records each week, giving universities deeper visibility into their recruitment process.

By tracking inquiry patterns, participation behaviors, and student sentiment across multiple channels, the system helps institutions identify when prospective students need additional support or guidance.

This insight allows recruiting teams to move beyond reactive inquiry management to proactive engagement strategies, including early intervention and more targeted outreach during the admissions cycle.

Universities will also have access to a partner dashboard, structured outreach campaigns, and integrated knowledge management tools designed to improve reporting and track performance across the recruitment funnel.

Supporting universities in a changing market

The announcement comes as universities around the world face increasing competition for international students and expectations for faster, more personalized communications.

UniQuest says the platform is designed to provide something the higher education sector has struggled to achieve for years: a unified, data-driven view of how prospective students engage with institutions and ultimately decide where to enroll.

The UQ platform will be rolled out to UniQuest and Keystone Enrollment Services partner universities throughout 2026, with future updates expected to include advanced enrollment predictions, expanded automation, and deeper personalization across the student lifecycle.
