(January 19, 2026, 16:44 GMT | Official Statement) — MLex Overview: UK financial companies wishing to test the use of artificial intelligence with the financial regulator can apply for the second cohort of AI live testing services, as the Financial Conduct Authority opens applications on Monday. The watchdog said participating companies are developing, evaluating and deploying AI safely and responsibly, with support from the FCA regulatory team and its technology partner Advai. Applications close on March 2nd. The statement is as follows:
