UAlbany launches master’s program in AI for Business

University of Albany’s Masry Business School We have released a new mMaster of Science in Artificial Intelligence For business use. This program is designed to provide students with the tools to leverage AI for innovation and organizational growth in their future careers.

This program is 30 credits and is part of UAlbany. AI plus initiativesa holistic approach to integrating teaching and learning about AI across academia and research. The program combines technical proficiency with business to accelerate graduates’ implementation of AI towards solutions that deliver real-world value across industries.

“Artificial intelligence is not only redefining industries, it’s reshaping the way we live and work,” said Paquita Davis-Friday, dean of the Masry School of Business. “This program combines deep technical knowledge with practical business applications to prepare graduates for impactful roles in a variety of fields.”

The new degree in AI for Business can be completed in one academic year of full-time study or two years of part-time study. Available both in-person and fully online, it is accessible to both full-time students and working professionals.

“AI is transforming every industry and job, requiring companies to adapt and embrace new ways of working,” said Sanjay Goel, the program’s architect and head of the University at Albany’s Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics. “Its ability to uncover patterns and insights in data can be applied to challenges in healthcare, cybersecurity, finance, and more. The Master’s degree in AI for Business provides the core knowledge and applied training needed to succeed in an AI-driven economy.”

The announcement comes as New York State makes historic investments in AI infrastructure. In partnership with IBM, UAlbany recently announced a $20 million investment in the Center for Emerging Artificial Intelligence Systems, part of Governor Kathy Hochul’s larger facility. $400 million public-private strategy Positioning upstate New York as a center for AI research, education, and workforce development.
