And countries in the Middle East are innovating and unlocking their full potential, especially in AI and automation, to support economic progress and improve living standards. Artificial intelligence is developing faster than realized and expanding its roots in the Middle East. As the AI revolution transforms the entire world with its power, the Middle East is at the forefront of this revolution. And it is no exaggeration to say that the speed at which AI is maturing will soon exceed $150 billion.
By 2030, the Middle East is predicted to claim 2% of the global gains from AI, or a staggering US$320 billion, setting the stage for an optimistic future of innovation.
In fact, Middle Eastern countries have launched various programs and invested heavily in artificial intelligence, increasing their status as global hubs for artificial intelligence. In 2017, the UAE appointed a Minister for Artificial Intelligence, becoming the first country in the world to create such a position. The UAE job market is highly dynamic, with 60% of in-demand jobs requiring technical capabilities and skills in AI, machine learning and automation. Organizations in the UAE are looking for technology talent with more autonomy and independence, and the skills they need in AI and automation.
