The AI at Good Global Summit 2025 brings together governments, technical leaders, academics, civil society and youth to explore ways to turn artificial intelligence towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and stay away from the risks of inequality, disinformation and environmental tensions.

But being part of this generation is not just using these technologies.

A warning about AI risks
Bogdan Martin warned of gaining danger when deploying AI without adequate public understanding or policy oversight.
“The biggest risk we face is not exclusion of humanity. It's a competition to embed AI everywhere without fully understanding what it means for people and our planetsShe said.
Her remarks reflect the growing urgency between policymakers and engineers as a new “agent AI” system where autonomous reasoning and behavior can emerge at an unprecedented rate.
Some experts predicting human-level AI in the next three years are increasing concerns about safety, bias, energy consumption and regulatory capabilities.

The summit agenda reflects these tensions.
Over 20,000 square meters of Palexpo's exhibition space in Geneva hosts over 200 demonstrations, including flying cars, fish-inspired water quality monitors, brain computer interfaces and AI-driven disaster response tools.
The workshop will tackle topics from AI to ethics, gender inclusion and global governance throughout the week.
One highlight is: Thursday's AI Governance Day as domestic regulators and international organizations address the global surveillance gap. ITU surveys found that 85% of countries lack AI-specific policies or strategies, raising alarms about uneven development and growth in digital division.
Focus on health
Health this year is a prominent theme.
On Wednesday, the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) led a session entitled “Enabling AI for Health Innovation and Access and Access,” bringing together engineers, regulators, clinicians and humanitarian leaders to address how AI can improve healthcare delivery, particularly in a low-resource environment.
Real-world applications – from AI-driven triage in emergency care to diagnostic tools for rural clinics – shine a spotlightalongside a preview of upcoming technical briefs on AI in AI, which has been set to be officially released on the main stage.
Experts will also consider interoperability, regulatory harmony and intellectual property challenges at the intersection of AI and global health. The summit also features the AI for Good Awards, recognizing groundbreaking projects that AI will use to make public benefits, with categories spanning people, planets and prosperity.

Launchpad for action
Health Track illustrates the core goals of the summit. It ensures that AI serves public goods, especially in areas of greatest need.
Youth-led robotics teams in underserved communities present solutions for disaster recovery and waste management, while startups compete in innovation factories to showcase AI tools for education and climate resilience.
Live demonstrations include an autonomous orchard robot, a self-rescue mobile toilet, and a drone Edna system for scalable biodiversity and pest monitoring.
After closing her keynote, Bogdan Martin reminded participants that the future of AI is a common responsibility.
