The video claims that the Africans building their own planes are circulating in X. A one-minute video posted by a user on the app @im_akm1 showed a man adding finishing touches to a built wooden plane.
I read the caption along with the post:
“Africans use wood to make their own jumbo jets! Do you think we can fly them?”
Since the launch of the post on Saturday, August 30, 2025, it has earned over 3,000 views and impressions of unimportant and comments.

At first glance, the video looks convincing and realistic, with smooth visuals and realistic movements.
However, careful testing revealed that it was not the real thing, and that AI was being produced. The accuracy of the structure, the unrealistic ease of assembling complex machines with basic tools, and the seamless visual all point to synthetic creation rather than authentic footage.
Google reverse image search for screenshots from the video caused the appearance of several other clips, including X's posts. Some users credited the original source to Zambian AI TV.
Furthermore, check traced the video to the Tiktok page under the same username. The account contained videos generated by multiple similar AIs, matching videos shared by the claimants.
Technically it is possible to build aircraft models from wood, but circulating video is not like that. Instead, it's an AI-generated video
