A recent survey of 2,000 adults in the US found that over 35% are currently using artificial intelligence (AI) to learn about health indicators.
Up to 31% of individuals use cutting-edge technology to learn about a particular condition. 25% of people use it to prepare weekly meals and recipes, and 23% of individuals learn new exercise routines for improved lifestyles.
In particular, nearly a quarter of current users (24%) use AI to fact-check wellness information from a variety of sources, including health professionals and other social media platforms.
In a rapidly evolving world where AI is transforming industry and rebuilding everything, trust in AI is growing significantly, with 63% trusting health information and guidance technology.
A survey led by Talker Research, Vitamin Shoppe's Annual Trends Report, suggests that 21% of AI users already use it to gain insights on health metrics.
“As AI becomes an increasingly powerful tool for health-conscious consumers, this year's trend report unveiled other important innovations shaping behavior in the wellness field,” said Muriel Gonzalez, president of Vitamin Shop.
“These include the NAD+ boom for lifespan and cellular health, new uses for peptides in sports nutrition, and a surge in protein in functional foods and on-the-go drinks.”
“And in addition to those who are drawn to alternative supplementary delivery formats such as liquids and gummies, we see the rediscovery of old-fashioned adaptogens like shirajit by a new generation of wellness seekers,” added Gonzalez.
Whether or not they use AI, up to 73% of people prefer to maintain a track record of their health.
However, nearly 68% of Americans feel that AI can trust them to track their health and wellbeing.
