What is the story
WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to summarise unread messages in chat. The optional feature is equipped with Meta AI and is intended to quickly catch up with conversations that users have missed. Today, deployed to US English-speaking users, this feature places a “Summary” button above unread chat. The company noted that the summary will only be visible to individual users, not to other participants in the chat.
The AI Summary is built on the technology introduced in April
This new feature is based on the AI feature introduced by Meta in April. Use private processing technology to generate responses without displaying messages or generated summaries in either Meta or WhatsApp. “No one else in the chat can see you have summarized an unread message,” Meta said in a blog post explaining the feature.
AI Summary is off by default
WhatsApp's AI Summary feature is turned off by default. However, if you want to use it, you can do so by going to Settings and accessing the features. This gives users complete control over whether or not they want to use this new feature. The new AI-powered features are integrated into WhatsApp under a setting called “Private Processing.”[設定]>[チャット]>[プライベート処理]You can access it by going to.
