The implications of AI in emphasised health services

Dhaka, July 30, 2025 (BSS) – Conference speakers highlight the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in strengthening health services, modernizing medical education, and fostering joint collaboration in research.
They also made several recommendations on the application of AI in the healthcare sector, highlighting the strengthening of cooperation among member states of the Islamic World Education, Science and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
The discussion also addresses important issues such as climate change, environmental health, mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and chikunguni, and antibiotics.
The meeting entitled “Academic Technical Collaboration” was held yesterday between ICESCO and Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) in the conference room of BMU's super specialty hospital, a press release issued today said.
BMU Vice President Dr. Shahinul Alam held the discussion as the lead guest, with Professor Rahil Qamar, head of the Science and Environment Department at Icesco in Rabat, Morocco, as a special guest.
Public discussion continued, entitled “The Future of Medical Education with Human Resource Development for AI-related Activities and Research.”
