Recent industry insights highlight the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, the importance of strategic alliances in technology, and an increased focus on sustainability.
The importance of strategic alliances and an increased focus on sustainability are also key focuses. According to David Zember (pictured), senior vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at QlikTech International AB, businesses are realising the need to adapt to new technologies whilst maintaining robust security and governance frameworks.

QlikTech's David Zember talks about theCUBE and strategic technology partnership.
“I love Qlik Answers and this acquisition checks a lot of boxes for us and I think it will be a game-changer for our customers and partners,” said Zember. “It puts us in a good position for technology collaborations. It's a great ecosystem play.”
Zember spoke with theCUBE's Savannah Peterson and Shelley Kramer at Qlik Connect during an exclusive broadcast from SiliconANGLE Media's livestreaming studio, theCUBE, where they discussed AI's transformative impact on data management, strategic partnerships and a focus on sustainability in business innovation. Driving AI innovation through strategic technology alliance
The transition to AI can be daunting, especially for those accustomed to traditional business intelligence and visualization, Zember explains.
“We have people who are comfortable in the analytics world, coming from a business intelligence and visualization background,” he says. “Getting them to embrace and become comfortable in the world of AI is going to be a little bit outside of their comfort zone, but I think the upgrades and refreshes we're doing to our enablement team, our learning and our learning management system will help people.”
One of the big challenges in adopting AI is finding the right balance between moving too fast and risking errors, or moving too slowly and falling behind. Zember also noted that continuous learning and curiosity are crucial to overcoming the fear that comes with any new technology.
“Getting it wrong can kill your business, but moving too slowly will leave you behind,” says Zember. “The middle needs to find what's best for them and make sure the customer is at the center of that conversation. I think being curious and learning can help demystify things and take some of the fear out of it. We all fear the unknown.”
