detail
The EU will promote its own artificial intelligence platform as part of its competition with the US and China in the global competition for innovative technologies.
The European Commission's new “AI Applying AI” strategy promotes European-made artificial intelligence tools. According to the Financial Times, the EU plans to improve AI use in the next sector:
- health care;
- defense;
- Various types of production.
The strategy is scheduled to be presented on Tuesday by EU technology chief Henna Wilkunen.
And for now there are warnings about dependencies on “external” factors needed to create, train and manage artificial intelligence applications.
addition
Last Friday, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen spoke at 2025, Italian Institute of Technology in Turin. In her message, the formula pointed out the importance of developing startups and innovative industries in the EU. And in particular – Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Previously, the European technological ecosystem, which is primarily based on overregulation, was accused of being “the main obstacle to innovation and the development of AI.”
But now, perhaps Brussels is ready for simplification. The head of the European Commission has announced a new law for 2026. This applies throughout the EU and also to avoid the existence of 27 different laws.
