Classification Society of India and DMET MERI – Ex-Seafarers’ Institute successfully held a joint technical seminar on “Leveraging Digitalisation and AI for Improved Ship Efficiency” at the IRS Headquarters, Mumbai on 16th July 2024. The event brought together maritime professionals, industry leaders and technology experts to explore the transformative impact of digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the maritime sector.

The seminar featured insightful presentations and discussions on various aspects of digitalization and AI, focusing on their potential to increase efficiency, safety and sustainability. Presenters covered a wide range of topics, including informed decision-making through digital modeling and AI, embracing digitalization for transformation, and augmented reality solutions for collaborative design, construction and training.

The event provided a valuable platform for networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration between maritime professionals and technology enthusiasts. Attendees came away with a greater understanding of the latest technological advancements and how they could shape the future of the maritime industry.
