GNA University’s Department of Computational Science has organized a week-long teacher training program on ‘Machine Learning for Computer Vision’.
Jalandhar, June 19, 2023: The GNA University Faculty of Computational Sciences held a week-long faculty development program on “Machine Learning for Computer Vision”. Dr. Anita Budhiraja, Scientist-D and Dr. Sarwan Singh, Scientist-D of her NIELIT in Chandigarh were his two resource persons who promoted this FDP. The primary objectives of this FDP are on the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, to educate the student community, to facilitate research projects using advanced software tools in the field of machine learning, and to provide hands-on programs. was to provide For training on implementing various machine learning techniques.
A total of 55 participants from various universities and institutions participated in this FDP. Learners understood how to use AI/ML, data science to innovate and enhance business processes in real time. ML techniques are widely used in many applications such as biometrics, medical imaging, speech recognition, traffic prediction, and automatic language translation.
The five-day FDP ended with thanks to the participants, organizers and conveners for their hard work. FDP awarded the participants with certificates of participation.
Ghadeep Singh Shihla, Principal Chancellor of the university, congratulated the Computational Sciences Department on successfully completing the week-long FDP. “The department should further motivate students and faculty to improve their skills in emerging technologies,” he said.
