Tata Consultancy Services (About TCSCon Friday launched WisdomNext, a Gen AI platform that consolidates multiple generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) platforms into a single interface, enabling businesses to rapidly adopt next-generation technologies at scale, at low cost and within regulated frameworks.
At the time of launch, TCS said the platform is designed to remove barriers for clients to develop and deploy business solutions and enable real-time experimentation across vendor, in-house and open source LLM models.
AI and Gen AI have widespread applications across the business value chain.
However, for solution architects across the globe, selecting, experimenting and deciding on the right foundation model can be difficult, TCS said.
The company says its underlying models are constantly evolving, with each model offering different capabilities in terms of usage mode, cost and effectiveness.
TCS's integrated enterprise AI orchestration platform, AI WisdomNext, will help enterprises choose the right model and simplify the design of new business solutions using GenAI tools, the company said, adding that it will also enable companies to reuse existing components to accelerate design.
“TCS AI WisdomNext will help our customers leverage GenAI to unlock the full potential of their data, drive business innovation and efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage,” said Siva Ganesan, head of the AI.Cloud unit at TCS.
He said clients appreciate the newly launched platform's ability to navigate the diverse and rapidly evolving AI market and help them quickly build solutions “as good as they can be.”
“We are solving business problems and helping our customers redefine what it means to leverage the power of GenAI. It's been exciting for our customers to experience the rapid adoption of GenAI and what it means for their business outcomes,” he added.
“GenAI provides us with the opportunity to increase the value of our knowledge capital on multiple dimensions. Through access to the TCS AI WisdomNextTM platform, we can expand our enterprise knowledge and orchestrate the seamless integration of data and insights to enhance efficiency, innovation and customer centricity in the grocery sector, driving value at every turn,” said Scott Kessler, executive VP and CIO, Northeast Shared Services.
TCS said it is in early testing phase and is already leveraging its services to a number of large clients to create value for customers and build prototypes.
“We've introduced this to over 100 customers. Obviously, there's this whole world of AI opening up before us and we're excited to leverage this even more,” Ganesan said.
Key features of the program include pre-configured industry solution blueprints, an intelligent “evaluation bot” that allows organizations to compare available GenAI models and related technology stack options to make more informed decisions, scenarios that use the platform's native intelligence to optimize GenAI operational costs, and centralized management with built-in guardrails to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices.
The company's comprehensive portfolio of GenAI services and solutions includes consulting and advisory, solution design and prototyping, large-scale language model training and fine-tuning, guardrail agent design, project delivery, and ongoing maintenance.
TCS plans to build one of the largest AI-enabled workforces in the world with over 300,000 employees trained in foundational AI/ML skills, including GenAI.
