A Southampton-based healthcare company has launched a new generative AI health platform aimed at unlocking much-needed GP appointments.
Based in the Solent International Business Park, Clinova launched Healthwords, one of the world’s first conversational AI tools focused on providing healthcare advice and self-care products in the UK.
This market-leading tool is set to transform the self-care industry with templates similar to ChatGPT, but search will be limited to a single area.
It is powered by machine learning algorithms trained on validated medical content from a team of over 50 physicians and pharmacists with over 200,000 medical terms extracted from a medical lexicon of over 97,000 medical terms. It has been.

Healthwords gives you 24/7 quick access to personalized medical advice based on your individual needs.
Users enter questions or symptoms into the conversational search feature, and generative AI technology provides medically-validated answers and advice, and recommends self-care products when indicated.
Healthwords is especially true for people who need non-urgent medical advice but do not have the time or ability to visit a pharmacist during standard business hours.
It is not designed to replace visits to a medical professional, but it does educate users on how to self-care and removes the stigma and apathy associated with seeking direct advice for specific personal conditions.
NHS England previously reported that there are 18 million GP appointments and 2.1 million A&E visits annually for conditions that can be treated at home, costing £850 million.
