Sony has announced the ZV-FF, a full-frame camera designed for content creators. The camera boasts an impressive feature set developed based on user feedback and aims to give creators the best possible tools.
The ZV-E1 is designed as a video-first solution, with a 12-megapixel full-frame sensor (same resolution as the Alpha 7S III, presumably the same sensor) with 15 stops of dynamic range and max ISO . of 409,600.
According to Sony, this is the smallest full-frame camera with IBIS. (The Sigma FP is smaller, but it doesn’t have IBIS.) The compact and lightweight camera weighs only 483g (including battery and memory card) and measures 121.0 x 71.9 x 54.3mm.

The ZV-E1 features a full-frame, back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR image processing engine. It also features new (Alpha 7R V and newer) subject detection autofocus and a dedicated AI processing unit for artificial intelligence driven (AI) video.
AI-powered video features include Cinematic Vlog Settings, My Image Style, and S-Gamut3 (cine/S-Log3) for versatile creative expression.
The ZV-E1 offers 5-axis optical in-body stabilization, AI-based Dynamic Active Mode stabilization with Framing Stabilizer, and AI-based auto-framing for videos. It also features multiple facial recognition, product showcase settings, and creative zoom control.
The ZV-E1 also supports uploading LUTs for in-camera display of color grading.

Sony claims improved IBIS for up to 30% more stability, and footage works with Catalyst Browse software to stabilize images based on gyro data.
The ZV-E1 has full frame 4K with full pixel readout without pixel binning and no other settings enable it. 4K/120p and FHD/240p updates planned for June 2023.
This camera supports in-camera time-lapse recording. The 3-capsule internal mic has 3 patterns of directivity (front, rear, or omnidirectional) that are user-selectable or AI-automatically controlled, and a vari-angle LCD screen with a new touch interface.

The dust and moisture resistant camera offers UVC/UAC support for USB streaming of up to 4K/30p audio and video directly from the camera. ZV-E1 offers professional audio quality and versatility with its enhanced intelligent 3-capsule mic, external mic and headphone jacks, and digital audio interface via Multi-Interface (MI) shoe.

The ZV-E1 will be pre-sold on March 30th and will be available on the market in the first or second week of May. It will retail for $2,200 for the body alone and $2,500 for the 28-60mm kit lens.
