- A Reddit user posted a pizza ad created using AI tools such as ChatGPT Plus and Midjourney.
- This ad is for a fake pizza restaurant called “Pepperoni Hug Spot” and shows “people” eating pizza.
- The user who created the ad wrote that he was “excited and a little apprehensive about the future.”
“Are you ready for the best pizza of your life?” the narrator asks, clearly missing a word.
Unsurprisingly, the fake pizza restaurant ad called “Pepperoni Hug Spot” is not real and is entirely AI-generated.
The fake pizza restaurant ad was created by a Reddit user named PizzaLater and posted on the Midjourney Reddit page.
“I definitely wasted three hours of my life making this today,” writes PizzaLater, using tools like ChatGPT Plus to script and text-to-video AI tools. You pointed out that you used a Runway Gen2 to create the ad clip.
This ad includes all the elements of a typical pizza ad, including a clip of a family eating together, a clip of a chef tossing dough, and a clip of toppings being sprinkled on a pizza.
However, it is easy to determine that something is wrong.
For example, the family’s eyes move in different directions, and smoke billows from the chef’s arms.
“Our chefs make pizzas with heart and a special touch,” the ad says, but it’s not far from what the usual pizza ads say. It includes pepperoni, vegetables, but also “more secret stuff.”
Twitter user @gaut shared an ad Posted on social media platforms, it elicited reactions from Pizza Hut’s official accounts.
“My heebies are geeby” written by pizza hut.
even the CEO of Twitter Elon Musk replied Bring your videos to life with mind-blowing emojis.
The ad also includes a delivery option, showing an AI-generated man driving a car and bringing a pizza delivery bag to the door.
Aside from the occasional grammatically incorrect script, the one AI-generated ad that isn’t entirely correct is a video of people eating pizza. For example, one clip of her of a woman eating pizza appears to be eating her own plate.
The 32nd ad concludes with the slogan, “Pepperoni Hug Spot, like family, but with lots of cheese.”
In a conversation with an insider, Reddit user PizzaLater refused to give his real name and was prompted to create a fake pizza ad after watching a viral AI-generated video of Will Smith eating spaghetti. said it was.
Pizza Rater said of the pizza ad, “The results have been utter nightmare fuel,” but he said, “I was kind of surprised. It wasn’t until then,” he added.
The technology he used to create the fake advertisements haunts him, but he says it’s also “very exciting” and has helped fuel his creativity as a commercial motion graphics designer. He said.
He said he had ChatGPT Plus create three different scripts and stitched together his favorite parts for the video. The title was also generated by ChatGPT Plus, he said, who also launched his website featuring pepperoni hugs on his spot.
“I think we are all sitting on this strange cusp of AI. And I think Meta is also working on text-to-video conversion, which I think will have a big impact on all of us,” said PizzaLater.
