Julie Hyman: Snowflake and Nvidia have partnered, and chipmakers are bringing their AI platforms to Snowflake’s cloud. Shares of both companies rose on the news. The partnership will allow companies to use all of their own data within Snowflake’s cloud to create customized generative AI applications. Interestingly, Snowflake announced yesterday that it will partner with Microsoft on AI products. And today, probably late yesterday, he will also announce Nvidia.

Brad Smith: yes. I think one of the key realizations they made in the release, as well as the overall generative AI will continue to move forward, comes down to data. They said this data is essential to creating generative AI applications that understand complex operations and the unique voice of each company. And for many of the world’s Salesforces, SAPs, and even Snowflakes, when you look across this ERP environment, what exactly do they have? It’s data.

And because of these collaborations and their heavy reliance on their cybersecurity front layer, compared to Nvidia with just the same number of buyers, Snowflake already has a strong portfolio customer base that could have. It seems that you are considering existing companies. Partnerships like this give Nvidia access to a whole new potential customer base that data centers can have.

And if Nvidia and Snowflake succeed with this partnership and high-performance machine learning that can be advanced using some of the data they both already have, it could enhance the services Snowflake offers. .

Julie Hyman: The analyst comments I saw this morning required more detail on exactly how this would work and what products it would offer.

Brad Smith: Revenue sharing is also possible.

Julie Hyman: yes. I think this is all ahead. Snowflake is currently holding a summit, so we’ll probably get some of those details right now, and maybe we’ll have to wait for some of them too.

Brad Smith: Snow on the mountaintop. we like it
