Peter Gabriel is open about the adoption of AI technology in music.
Last month he called AI. It is currently in its infancy with programs like ChatGPT and should use “powerful new tools” instead of “just complaining or pretending they don’t exist.”
Music legends have partnered with Stability AI to present the DiffuseTogether Challenge.
Here are the general gists: Contestants will submit one AI-generated animated video inspired by and set to Peter Gabriel’s music in the contest, which is currently being held on Discord.
The video will incorporate Stability AI technology through applications such as Stable Diffusion, an industry-leading open-source suite of imaging models, DreamStudio (photorealistic imaging), Stability for Blender (3D), and AnimAI (animation).
