Showcase SA partners with nbn and Microsoft to deliver AI workshops to improve productivity

AI For Business

Artificial intelligence may sound like something you only see on TV, but it’s now more of a reality. That’s why Showcase SA is bringing the latest AI-focused workshops to the city.

The event, to be held at the Hilton Adelaide on Thursday 12th March, aims to help small and medium-sized businesses realize the practicalities of Microsoft 365 Copilot.

This will be an opportunity for Adelaide businesses to see how they can incorporate artificial intelligence into their day-to-day operations without it taking over.

Copilot is an artificial intelligence assistant built into Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and more. Most small businesses in Australia are already using Microsoft Office 365 in some form, so this workshop will explore how to go beyond the basics.

Always think about the time you spend drafting repetitive emails, writing reports, and formatting documents, and think about what you would do if it were done automatically.

This workshop is divided into two practical sessions, the first focusing on marketing and sales and the second on human resources and legal functions. Certified Microsoft Technology Partners explain how you can use AI across your business and provide practical tips to improve productivity.

In the first half, you’ll learn how to create sales reports and forecasts, create ready-to-use marketing content, analyze customer insights, draft customer emails and follow-ups, and organize customer engagement tasks.

After lunch, the workshop moves on to tasks such as summarizing contracts and legal documents, expediting research and document preparation, creating HR documents such as handbooks and policies, and automating parts of the hiring process.

It is led by Shraddha Limaye, a senior leader at Microsoft who is on the front lines of helping small and medium-sized businesses turn AI into a legitimate business tool. With deep expertise in skilling, partner enablement, and cloud adoption, Shraddha is focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses build real capabilities.

Joining her is Valentina Lazarevska, Head of AI Deployment and Enablement. She specializes in neuroscience-based strategies that remove all the confusion and help you feel a little more confident in the AI field. She has been actively working in AI since 2018, and her real skill lies in translating technical complexity into real action.

Together, they primarily focus on one big goal, talking less and doing more.

This workshop aims to introduce guests to what Copilot can currently do in a small business environment, which tasks can be automated to save time, where AI fits into existing workflows, and how to get comfortable using Copilot even if you are not very tech-savvy, while ending with an example of Copilot in action.

If you’ve been interested in AI for a while but don’t know where to get information, this might be an easy way to start learning.
