Earlier this year, Drake used AI to recreate the late rapper's voice in his song “TaylorMade Freestyle.” Tupac ShakurThe song was removed after 2Pac's estate threatened legal action, but Cheryl He told the BBC Drake should never have done it in the first place: “You can't bring the dead back to life and trust that they'll support it,” she says.
“I'm sure Drake was like, 'Oh no, I shouldn't have done that, but I'll apologize later,'” she continued. “But it's happened now and even if he deletes it, people will find it. It's hateful. It goes against the life force that exists within all of us.”
Cheryl says the only thing that gives her hope is that “AI can do a lot of things, but it can't go out and play live.” She adds, “So as long as there's live music, as long as there's hands holding paintbrushes, all is not lost.”
Speaking of performing live, Cheryl told the BBC that she Christine McVie upon Fleetwood MacShe toured with them in 2003 after McVie left the band, but then blew her chance.
