They are not completely autonomous, but they don't have to be. The key is that you can understand the context, follow the tasks, and integrate with the tools your company already uses. Whether branded as Copilots, Digital Workers, or Enterprise Assistant, AI agents are becoming the operational layer behind modern business. Yes, AI tools have some security risks, but for many businesses, agent AI has already become an important part of their workflow.
From Openai's GPT-based tools to integrations powered by IBM's Watsonx.ai and Google's Deepmind, companies are considering deploying AI agents in their offices.

Agent AI is a broad category of artificial intelligence that behaves with a certain degree of independence. They can plan, take action, and respond to new information, but are not completely autonomous. Think of it as an AI with enough initiative to handle the task without asking for permission at every stage of the road.

4. Microsoft Copilot & Azure AI Agent
Through tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365, and Azure AI Agent services, Tech Giant transforms generated AI into an engine that automates everything from customer returns and HR support to financial settlements and field operations.
Copilot is a personal assistant, underneath it is a more specialized agent built into Copilot Studio or Azure, trained to run workflows, manage entitlements, and integrate them across Microsoft's enterprise stack. These agents are pre-configured or custom built to work with teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and third-party data to complete tasks with context and memory.
5. Claude by Mankind
The Claude Agent of Humanity is designed for a high-trust enterprise environment that focuses on reasoning, safety, and human-level collaboration. It is equipped with the company's most advanced model, the Claude Opus 4. These agents are built to plan, act and adapt throughout the complex workflow, from customer support to code generation.

6. North of the North

Honorable mention: Openai operator
OpenAI's GPT-equipped agents are moving across chat boxes using operators. Just as Pro users can use ChatGpt users as a “Survey Preview”, operators can handle everyday web tasks such as grocery orders, booking reservations, filling out forms in real time, and more, filling out forms while running in all browser windows.
The operator blends the language features of the GPT-4O with basic interface controls, creating an agent that not only proposes actions but also performs them. It's too early, but Openai sees operators as a fundamental step towards AI, which navigates digital space independently and ultimately acts as a substitute for human users.
