Your role:
As one of the first lab members of the Stealth Startup Leadership Team, you will lead a cutting-edge scientific team to design a state-of-the-art lipid nanoparticle (LNP) design platform that enables therapeutic delivery of mRNA. Reporting directly to the LNP Formulation Director, he is responsible for the team’s success and growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Enabling a rapid high-throughput screening platform for mRNA-encapsulated lipid nanoparticles
- Establish formulation and analysis protocols, hire and train researchers
- Work closely with digital teams to integrate biophysical data for formulation and analytics to enable AI/ML predictive models
- Establish procedures for good notebook maintenance and data capture
- The broader scope includes establishing process science and advanced analytical laboratories for LNPs
- Build and lead a state-of-the-art formulation and analytical team, expanding into process science for LNP scale-up.

Focusing on the ecosystem, in-house collaboration with mRNA/LNP experts and the generation of best practices for LNP discovery and development are key to this role.
Who are you:
- PhD in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or similar field.
- At least 2-4 years of proven experience in LNP design, formulation and analysis.
- Accustomed to working in a corporate environment and willing to work in an agile “startup” environment
- Proven experience with high-throughput screening platforms is a plus
- Experience working in a matrix organization and multi-functional team is a must
- You are a highly organized, detail oriented, creative and results driven problem solver with a proven flexibility and collaborative work style.
- Excellent oral and written communication with experience presenting to multifunctional teams across the organization
- Willingness to travel <20% (domestic and global travel) #inclusion
